Natural stone rewards simple, consistent care. A few habits keep a piece looking its best for decades — here is what we advise every client at hand-over.
Rinse and dry after use
Natural stone is porous. A quick rinse and wipe-down after bathing keeps minerals and soap residue from settling into the surface.
Avoid acidic and abrasive cleaners
Citrus, vinegar and abrasive scouring products can dull or etch natural stone. Keep them away from the bathing surface.
Use a pH-neutral cleaner
A soft cloth and a pH-neutral stone cleaner is all most pieces need for routine care.
Reseal periodically
Porosity varies by stone. We advise on a resealing routine suited to your specific piece at hand-over.
Avoid prolonged standing water
Draining the bath after use, rather than leaving water to stand, helps protect the stone's finish over time.
