From Quarry to Bath

Nine stages, none of them rushed. Every AGES ART bathtub passes through the same disciplined process, from the moment a block is chosen at the quarry to the day it is delivered.

Stone Selection

Each block is chosen by hand at the quarry, reading colour, grain and vein direction before a single cut is made.

Block Prep

The block is trimmed and squared, preparing a clean, sound mass of stone ready for carving.

Cutting

The rough silhouette of the bath is cut from the solid block, establishing its outer form.

Carving

The bowl is carved entirely by hand. Wall thickness is checked continuously as the form emerges — stone gives no second chances.

Hand Finishing

Rim, shoulder and interior are refined by hand, tuning the surface until it reads as one continuous gesture.

Polishing

Progressive polishing or honing brings out the stone's natural depth, colour and tactile quality.

Quality Inspection

Every piece is inspected for structural integrity, wall consistency and surface finish before it leaves the atelier.

Protective Packing

Each bath is crated on a bespoke cradle, padded and protected to travel safely to its destination.

Delivery

Delivered — and, where arranged, installed by our team — ready for the room it was carved for.
